15.05.11 Bluebird conditions in the qualifications!

200 riders enjoyed bluebird conditions in the qualifications today at day one of three in the 24th edition of the Scandinavian Big Mountain Championships.

Most runs of the qualification were dominated by tricky snow conditions and the riders having to feel where they could charge and where to be smooth and light. The favourites stood out with riders like Reine Barkered, Wille Lindberg and Kristofer Turdell in top positions. The fastest run of the day, including the biggest air of the day, was delivered by Carl Regner Eriksson, putting him in second place.

Among the snowboarders, Cody Bramwell is in a superior lead ahead of Stefan Östling and Tomas Johansson. Per Jonsson is in the lead of the telemark skiers.
