15.05.12 Final run 1 completed!

The athletes delivered mind-blowing performances in Ravinen today at the final run 1 (of 2) at the Scandinavian Big Mountain Championships. All riders and the enthusiastic crowd enjoyed sunny weather, today also with snow conditions that were close to perfect.

In the men’s snowboard category, Cody Bramwell repeated his win from the qualification with a perfectly ridden line including the biggest fly of the day among the snowboarders.

Telemark
Among the telemarkers, both Per Jonsson and Erik Nordin showed fast and fluid riding, giving the judges a hard time to separate them.

Women’s Ski
The women skiers repeated solid performances from the qualification. Matilda Rapaport showed her skills with a perfectly executed line including big airs and fluidity. The highest airs of the day came from Hedvig Wessel from Norway, putting her in second place, just ahead of Caroline Strömberg. In the overall ranking, Matilda Rapaport is ahead of Karin Stöckel and Hedvig Wessel from Norway.

Men’s Ski
Mattias Rönngren chose a very technical top section, known as the Kaj Zackrisson rock, and charging it like there was no tomorrow, super fluid and with excellent control. He received the highest score of the day, putting him in second place after two runs. Carl Regnér Eriksson took second place with a similar line choice, finishing his fast run with a huge 360 over the cluster rock in the bottom. Oskar Björk was third today, executing his line with perfect technique and high speed. In the overall ranking in Men’s Ski, Carl Regnér Eriksson is in the lead ahead of Mattias Rönngren and Kristoffer Turdell. The top three is separated by 0,5 points only.
